| This Focus on the Family radio broadcast features "Zach" and "Elizabeth", the first couple to adopt an embryo and give birth to a child through the Snowflakes Frozen Embryo program of NightLight Christian Adoptions in California. (At the time this broadcast was aired, they used pseudonyms to protect their identity. Since then, this couple have become politically active on the issue of embryo adoptions and are known by their real names, John and Marlene Strege.) On this CD, they tell their story. After a long struggle with infertility, they learned about embryo adoption, inquired with Focus on the Family, and through a series of events involving NightLight director, attorney Ron Stoddart, came to adopt an embryo and gave birth to their daughter, Hannah. Author and psychologist Dr. James Dobson, with the counsel of leading OB-GYN physician Dr. Joe McIlhaney and staff counselor Sydna Masse, came to support embryo adoption and ultimately publicize it through this broadcast. All of the individuals mentioned above participate in the broadcast. This is a one-hour, two-part broadcast hosted by Dr. Dobson. |
